Vikram Bothra is a sixth-generation entrepreneur from Assam with deep-rooted expertise in retailing and wholesale of fashion and lifestyle products. Based in Dhekiajuli near Tezpur, he represents a family legacy that has served the region since the 1880s. An Economics graduate from the University of Calcutta and an MBA from NMIMS, Mumbai, Vikram has extensive experience in retail real estate, shopping centre development, and financial management, having worked with Knight Frank India and Reliance Capital. Since joining his family business in 2014, he has led transformative growth, including the launch of “Askaran Binjraj,” one of Northeast India’s largest lifestyle departmental stores. A Harvard Business School certified professional and a Doctoral candidate in Business Administration at Golden Gate University, USA, he currently serves as Chairman of the Northeast Chapter of the Retailers’ Association of India, contributing significantly to the region’s economic and social development.
