
Dr. Naresh Tyagi

Dr Tyagi has 30+ years of experience spanning the textile value chain – from sourcing, manufacturing, quality and R&D to retail operations and sustainability. An alumnus of the Advanced Management Program at UC Berkeley, he has witnessed and influenced the transformation of the South Asian textile industry into a global manufacturing hub. Dr. Tyagi has pioneered several industry firsts, including introducing India’s first wrinkle-free trousers, bringing the first digital textile printer to India, establishing Knowledge Management Centre – a benchmark centre for innovation, creativity and collaboration in the apparel sector, and integrating PLM technology into retail operational workflows. At ABFRL, he built ReEarth, the comprehensive sustainability frameworks in global fashion, guiding the company to an S&P Global DJSI score of 83, ranking it India’s most and the world’s 4th most sustainable retail company. He is the author of Sustainable Promises, a book connecting India’s cultural heritage to modern sustainability.
