He has a proven track record of driving business success in complex and challenging Indian market conditions, working effectively across cross-functional teams. With a sharp focus, a structured approach, and a strong understanding of P&L management, he has consistently driven sales and margin growth while significantly reducing costs across the portfolios he has led.

A postgraduate in Marketing and Merchandising from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Delhi, he is a consummate marketer with a deep understanding of shoppers and consumers across multiple product categories and retail formats. His experience spans hypermarkets, department stores, convenience stores, and specialty retail, covering categories from high fashion to food and grocery. Over the course of his career, he has developed and scaled several successful private label programs and brands across both fashion and food retail. He began his professional journey with Shoppers Stop and later played a pivotal role in setting up Hypercity.

His strong commercial acumen and execution capabilities have enabled him to identify, build, and scale unique segments and categories in both fashion and grocery, achieving credible and sustained market success. A consistent high performer, he is a recipient of the prestigious ABG Chairman’s Award for Exceptional Contribution and has participated in multiple leadership development programs, including those at Harvard, IMD Lausanne, and various international consortium leadership forums.

As part of the recruitment leadership at ABG, he has played a key role in hiring talent from top management institutions across India and Asia, while also mentoring and nurturing high-potential leaders over the years.
