Harshavardhan, listed amongst the 50 Most Influential Retail, E-commerce & Marktech professionals in India by CMO Asia & Asia – Africa – GCC Retail Congress, is based out of Gurgaon & works as Central Head Of Marketing & Phygital (Digital Transformation) at DLF Shopping Malls, India’s biggest & largest Retail & Destination Marketplaces.

At DLF, Harshavardhan has led the retail disruption journey spearheading the Phygital thought leadership for transforming retail in India, launching India’s 1st Phygital consumer products, Lukout & DLF SmartCash.

At his prior stint, Harshavardhan worked as Director & Business Head at Shopclues – India’s next generation revolution in E-commerce space, spearheading non-transactional P&L and strategic initiatives to achieve EBITA level profitability.

At ShopClues, as Director & Business Head, he successfully delivered multi-folds business growth while heading the category management, and also successfully spearheaded the Central Strategy Team, impacting revenues of USD 1 billion+, while leading the path towards profitability in e-commerce.

Previously, he was associated with Godrej, a leading Indian conglomerate as Group Business & Strategy Controller heading Pricing, Product and Channel Strategy for a USD 700 million portfolio.

Also, he has successfully managed Consumer Electronics, Appliances and New Product Innovations Businesses at Godrej, and has been instrumental in an array of industry innovations.

Harshavardhan is an accomplished marketing professional having successfully managed businesses and achieved complex marketing objectives in Retail, E-Commerce, Durables & FMCG space.

While marketing has always been his interest and fascination, being an Engineering graduate, he started his career developing Business Intelligence systems for Accenture technology and consulting.

Harshavardhan has over a decade of Strategy focused experience with ShopClues, Godrej, Accenture and significant albeit small associations with ITC, Unilever’s & Reckitt Benckiser.

He is an amateur script writer & actor dabbling in Avant-garde plays. He is also interested in Sociology and Psephology.
